Even on adaptec when you look at the legacy drivers it is the same driver package for each OS windows for both controllers. I test software for a living so anything you can ask me to do I can do. I notice the issue persists after installing Windows Vista driver, so you installed a signed Windows bit driver and the device cannot be started.

Rebooting the system returns the device to a cannot start state.
